Should be running much further and better by now but because of not getting enough air I am not, I am actually regressing! One can push threw the leg part but not the breathing part. Seems like I have a turtleneck on that is way to tight in the front of my neck!! Cuts the air, already in mountain altitudes. That 5K is looming in the not so far distance so I have to get this figured out ASAP!! Just might have to break down and see a Dr.! Not my favorite place--oh well. If it will help me so I can run the 5k than I am good with it, well sorta:! LOL Enjoy your day, I am spending the day with my granddaughter! One of them anyway :-)

Been 4 days since my last run, ugh! Because of early work schedule or this or that, stupid excuses, I know! However I did run this morning. I barely made the mile. I do believe I need to see a Dr. Seems as though it is not my legs that keep from going its my breathing!! I feel like I am only getting half of the air I need. I took my asthma meds but this has been going on for a while now. I would say I am long over due for some sort of checkup. I have lengthened my stride some and that feels good, before it was like baby jogging steps so that is good. I am running out of time--I need to be to 3 miles in a little over a month! Grrrr Will talk to a health professional here pretty quick, need to get to the bottom of all this crap. I don't smoke, never have and never will! I am not sure what is going on--might have to do with me not being able to sleep well at night as well. Going to the vitamin shop today before work to talk to a guy, Hopefully he can help me out a bit. I am hoping to find something like amberan to help me out with hot flashes and hormone balance, that will also help with weight loss. I need to lose about 20 lbs, that could be part of it as well. However I feel like I am getting heavier the more I run?? Go figure? No its not muscle LOL Just need to figure out what changes I need to make and how to do it! Don't even eat much in the line of M&M's anymore! I don't know, I will figure it out! Anyway, enjoy your day I am going to cause it is going to be a great one! :-)

Not such a good run today :-( My legs are heavy, trouble breathing and YES I took my asthma meds. I think its time to go see a Dr. and see what it really going on. No drive to push thru this morning. Need to monitor my eating habits closer, increase my water intake and see the Dr. Something is going on cause this is NOT how I should be feeling after running for 6 weeks--it should be getting easier and better!! Oh well, will definitely get this all checked out over this next week! No running now until Monday, 1 day off, maybe I need to be running at night too? Something is just not quite right! :-(

Today's run: 1.5 with very very minimal walking, right around 15 minutes. Not exactly a great time but that can be worked on. I am hoping to increase again on Monday but we will see, I spose I should cause I can always walk part of it till I get it done, however I am going into it with the mindset of running it not walking! 77 degrees already this morning so it was a hot run, phew lol That morning shower will certainly feel good today. Short day at work today, only 7 hours--woo hoo!! Gotta love that. I feel better about the pace I am going, still slow but getting better. As long as there is improvement I am happy. I need to start running at night as well, maybe after sunset when it cools a bit. Well, I really need that shower and to get ready for work, enjoy your day, I know I will :-)

Today was one of those days I just had to push push push and then it hit, I hadn't taken my asthma meds and was struggling to breathe! Oh not good, so I got 3/4 of a mile done and had to quit :-( I tried to go out again after taking my meds but nope no drive left. However, I did get 3/4 of mile in so it was not a total loss. I won't be forgetting to take that stuff again anytime soon that's for sure! Had a great birthday yesterday, it was awesome, from breakfast with my work team to my co-workers decorating my office and the birthday wishes from family and friends, ya it was a pretty awesome day! My legs hurt today so maybe its better I didn't push to hard. Tomorrow the whole 1.5 for sure, no excuses or issues! :-) Till then enjoy your day!

1.5 miles today!! WOO HOO! on the day of my 59th Birthday--took me 15 minutes but, hey remember? its about finishing not winning. I have accomplished another goal, its about 2 days late but I have done it. Going for the 2 miles on Monday, I need to be increasing fast now as September and the 5K is getting closer and closer! I know I can do this so I will just keep pushing forward. It feels good to be sitting here in a sweat after a great run, great for me anyway. One day I would like to go back home and run with my nieces, sister-in-law and my brothers. That would be a dream come true for me. Keep pushing and you will do this, I KNOW YOU CAN!!! Well, off to the shower and to work, start the day with breakfast at Mimi's cafe with my team from work and then to the office! IT IS GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY FOR SURE! :-)

Monday, Monday! What a great way to start my week with a great run. Enjoyed some new tunes from rockmyrun.com, got a free 30 min. download of great music at just the right bpm for me! It seemed to help. No run tomorrow, walking in the big parade downtown Salt Lake City. Its about 2 miles or better and I have to be there at 6 AM so ya no run! However I will be back at it on Wednesday. I am hoping to get me some new running shoes this week or next. I put some gel insoles in my current ones, it seems to help a bit. I had to prove to myself I was going to keep it up before I put some money into some nice shoes so I have proved it. I may have missed a day or 2 here and there but, hey, I am still at it! Not even close to the 5 min. mile I had in high school but I am not even close to that age I was in high school! lol Time to hit the shower, have an 11 hour day at work today so gotta run -- ha ha! Enjoy your day, I know I will!! :-)
